Confection Perfection. Bringing video game and anime food to life.

Nancy Drew was one of my favorite book series when I was growing up and I was a kid.  Later, they started releasing video games based off of the book series and I loved it, my first Nancy Drew game was the Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake.  As a child it was fascinating to explore the world and solve the mystery, I always got stuck on some of the puzzles but would eventually figure it out after much frustration.

I was delighted to find a bundle of Nancy Drew games during a Steam sale for a few dollars and got them for the nostalgia.  I played through Alibi in Ashes and was engrossed by The Scoop, an ice cream shop in the game where you can select different kinds of milkshakes, ice cream, or sodas. I spent more time than I would like to admit ordering different options from the menu to see them in game.  I wanted to recreate some of the flavors from the game so I started with the Strawberry Breeze shake since some of the other offerings seemed crazy like the Moon Chunk cheese-flavored ice cream.  Following the description on the board, I used strawberry ice cream, strawberries, and some milk for the base.  The shake is topped off with whipped cream and additional strawberries.

About Me

I am an avid gamer with a love for food and especially desserts.

Anime was the driving force behind recreating these foods in real life; the art made everything look delicious.

So, I tried my hand at making some of the foods I saw and then further delved into food from video games.

While not all go according to plan, I still love making food from games and hope to share them with everyone!
